Environmental Policy

Our environmental policy serves as a guideline for all the Genial Productions business practices through which we are committed to becoming more environmentally friendly and are prepared to take steps to change and monitor our working methods to ensure we reduce our carbon emissions and waste, and limit polluting activities.

RESPONSIBILITY

Genial Productions recognizes our company’s activities have an effect on the local, regional and global environment. We are members of the Albert consortium supporting the industries transition into and environmentally sustainable future. We encourage use of the Albert tolls across our productions. It is the fundamental aim that our activities are undertaken with due regard to the effect on the environment and we are committed to continuous improvement to our environmental practices. Genial have integrated environmental management into its processes and culture and works to improve its performance in this area wherever possible.

OBJECTIVES

Where possible Genial Productions aim to:

  • Reduce our carbon emissions across all areas but especially those created through travel.
  • Put in place formal and transferable processes for reducing waste and energy consumption both in our head office and all other production office and set locations.
  • Provide a forum in which staff can share ideas and enable better communications to facilitate more efficient and subsequently more environmentally sound working practices.

TARGETS

To achieve our aims, we have set ourselves the following targets:

  • Encourage and promote lower carbon modes of transport, such as car sharing where possible, cycling to work, and public transport.
  • Conduct environmental assessments of our workplaces with the aim to best utilise recycling and energy saving options.
  • Train and educating employees (full time and freelance) in the relevant aspect of environmental best practices.
  • Support international, national and community initiative designed, protect and enhance the environment.
  • Encourage suppliers to ensure they recognise and reduce the environmental impact of their good, services and transportation.
  • Review our environmental policy on a regular basis.
